So almost a week has past since my first ever blog post and it’s had 10 views! Amen to that!

We all survived the devastating wrath of the Almighty then?
The 21st of May was supposedly, according to the Christian preacher man Harold Camping, the day of the Rapture! A time when the Lord would bring chaos and turmoil to the world and only the truly righteous and Lord loving would survive!
Hands up who thought this would happen………………………………and hands up who’s instant thought when reading about the impending doom was ‘Fuck off!’………………………..Yea my thoughts exactly. I have no quarms with any persons who spend their lives devoted to faith or a higher being but when people start preaching and forcing their beliefs on others then it aggravates me, especially if those supposed words of wisdom are speaking of total carnage leading to the day of reckoning!
I wonder why he felt the need to stir up so much media controversy and public interaction & attention? Mmmmmmmm I wonder?
Oh can I just congratulate Mr Camping on successfully receiving 80 Million Dollars in donor money and hope that his ‘Holy mission’ in the Cayman Island goes well. (Scam much?!)
Poor old multi millionaire Harold Camping, another prediction down the pan. He needs to have a little word in the Lords ear because he has either been given some false information from Jesus and the apostles or he’s talking shit! mmmmmmmm??
The English Premier league finished and my beloved Arsenal Football team failed to impress for another season. 4th………bloody 4th! Arsene Wenger seems to have lost some of the genius guidance that formed ‘untouchables’ not so long ago. All us Arsenal fans have been singing the same tune for the past 6 years, spend some of that profit that we consistantly hear about on some maturity and experience. I guess we can just look forward to next season and hope during the Summer he will appease some of his doubters by pulling off the signing of the decade!! (optimism breeds disappointment!)
Enough talk of impending doom and footballing failures, Prince announced he was to headline Kents Hop Farm Festival on July 3rd!!! Oh yeah, and I got my ticket. Never been to a festival as muddy clothes, stinking pits and unwashed hair have never really appealed to me but I ain’t missing this. Well I think thats pretty much the weeks most important news rounded up…oh hold on forgot about poor old Cheryl Cole’s sacking from the US X Factor. The UK’s sweetheart so disrespectfully thrown to the curb! Simon Cowell obviously couldn’t face the dirty looks and constant bitching from Paula Abdul either that or he fancied a 3-way and Cheryl wasn’t up for it!!
No seriously though the Geordie accent is occasionally difficult for us Brits to understand so, if that was the issue, then I can’t the blame our over-sea’s brothers & sisters for struggling. I can just imagine the conversations during early auditions-
Cheryl: Alreet pet, show us what you got!
Auditonee: I’m sorry ma’am?
Cheryl: Awhere, let us see if your a canny singer leik
Auditonee: excuse me?
Simon: For fuck sake Cheryl, this ain’t gonna work is it?!
