Hollywood comedian David Cross has urged the public not to see ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked’, even though he starred in the film!
In an interview on Conan O’Brien talk show in America, he described how much he hated filming the kid’s movie sequel, “I would say in all honesty it was the most miserable experience I’ve ever had in my professional life,” he said.
The star, who played villainous record executive Ian Hawke, said: “It was a miserable experience because of, not the cast and the crew who were great, [but because] I was forced at legal point to spend a week on a cruise ship. It was terrible. There was no reason for me to be there. They thought ‘won’t it be fun to get David on there.’ he continued “And the scenes that take place on the cruise ship I am always in a pelican mascot foam rubber outfit where you cannot see any of my flesh, nor do I have any dialogue.”
David went on to tell the audience: “If you see the movie – and don’t!”, before describing it as “a big commercial for Carnival Cruise Lines.”
Cross, who also appeared in ‘Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind’, has said before that he only signed up to star in the ‘Alvin’ films for the cash.
OK, I guess we won’t be rushing to the cinema for this one then!
