Film funny man Will Ferrell has confirmed that there will be a follow up to the hit comedy flick ‘Anchorman: The legend of Ron Burgundy’ .
Will revealed the news when he was filming Wednesday nights Conan O’Brien show in the US. The star appeared as the, now legendary character, Ron Burgundy to make the official announcement. Will, ahem sorry, Ron said, “I actually have an announcement. I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the UK – including England – that as of 0900 Mountain Time,Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Aaron Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman,”
Adam McKay is set to return to pen the sequel with Steve Carrell and Paul Rudd also expected to reignite their hilarious characters for the flick.
Filming is scheduled for the end of 2012 with a release date sometime in 2013!
