Rumours circulating today are suggesting that former Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox is being lined up to appear as a mentor on series two of The Voice UK.
The ‘Walking On Broken Glass’ singer has made two successful appearances this year at the Queens Jubilee concert and the Olympic closing ceremony and BBC bosses are keen to get the singer on board. A Beeb insider told UK tabloid The Sun “Annie would be a great signing, She really knows her eggs. Last year’s [coaches] were great but it would be nice to inject some new blood into the panel too” The source added “Last year, Sir Tom proved that experience really counts and Annie’s got that in spades. She’s not afraid to give an opinion either.”
Annie is rumoured to be replacing chart topper Jessie J on the panel after The Voice bosses claimed they were sick of her ‘diva’ like attitude throughout last years shows.
The Voice UK is set to return to our screens next spring.
