Pop superstar Rihanna has sparked rumours that she has been secretly seeing her violent ex boyfriend Chris Brown.

The ‘We Found Love’ singer jumped onto Twitter recently after Brown was spotted snogging model Karrueche Tran on New Years Eve in Las Vegas, the Bajan beauty tweeted, “How can you lie to her, while you lay with me?”.

22 year old Brown was sentenced to 5 years probation after her viciously assaulted Rihanna in 2009 but a source close to the ‘You Da One’ singer says the pair have remained close despite the incident, “Despite everything that has happened RiRi has not stopped loving Chris.” the insider said, “They have been in constant contact for some time and things seemed to be stepping up a gear in recent weeks. Many thought these public declarations of love on Twitter were paving the way for an official reconciliation.”

The pair haven’t done much to silence the rumours after they allegedly tweeted “I love you” to each other a few days ago and are continually in contact via the social media site. The source continued to add, “Seeing Chris with Karrueche is very hard for her and her emotions appear to have got the better of her this weekend. She has been warned by pals not to get involved in such a destructive relationship again but she just can’t let go.”
