Reports circulating around the US press are claiming that ‘Toxic’ singer Britney Spears has finally agreed to be part of the new look USA X Factor judging panel.

The 30 year old singer has been in deep negotiations with show bosses over the last few months with both parties rumoured to be haggling over Britney’s fee. A source from inside the show confirmed, “The contract is signed. There’s been a lot of back and forth over the past few weeks as they negotiated the small details, but she’s on. It’s all completed and Britney is beyond excited, she’s ready for this. She can’t wait to sit down next to Simon at the judges’ table and give this everything she’s got. She is excited about showing the world that she can do this, and do this well. This is the perfect next stage in her career. Both Britney and Simon are very excited to work together.”

It is believed that Spears will be pocketing a cool $15 million (£9.3 million) for the season and will join the current line up of Simon Cowell and LA Reid with the fourth spot on the panel and the show hosting job still up for grabs.
