First of all I need to just say – Jasmine MUST stay. She is so fascinating and entertaining to watch and easily my favourite so far.
She certainly not holding back on the bitching, speculating on how Danica is already playing Mikey (ask The Situation) and how he was clearly put out by the revelation that she ‘rinses’ men and women for money.
Even though she’s another famous (well almost) for being famous type – there is just something a little more interesting about her than the likes of Rhian and Danica.
Rhian (famous for sexting Vernon Kay) seems nice enough but she clearly isn’t going to add anything to the house. I hope the public don’t do their usual trick of voting out the interesting ones this time.
Elsewhere, I’m enjoying finding out more about Julie Goodyear aka Bet Lynch – for someone so iconic on British TV we actually know so little about her. She told some of the housemates that she brought her son up as a single mother after his father , who she was married to , disappeared to Australia with his family never to be heard again, when the boy was only 2 weeks old.
I have to say though, I know she is old but Julie does look pretty rough – puffing away with her cigarette holder and no make-up on. With her leopard print bag as well she clearly melded into the character she played for so long on Corrie.
Mikey/The Situation – one of several in there I (and I suspect many of us) had never heard of before is actually making for quite good viewing, though initially I thought ‘what’s the point of him’? I think it’s his facial expressions, they are slightly exaggerated but appear genuine – from lost, to disappointed, to clearly very interested (when talking to one of the females).
He’s desperate to get it on with someone in there, with Danica looking like prime candidate at the moment, though failing that I am sure Rhian or Jasmine will do.
Julian Clary is expectedly priceless, ‘well he’s hardly the Virgin Mary’ – his response about Mikey when one of the other housemates said they felt sorry for him when he found out what Danica does for money. Julian is making little attempt to hide his contempt from some of the more intellectually challenged housemates and I think could also be a contender to win alongside relaxed everyman Martin Kemp.
