The 28-year-old singer – who divorced the England and Chelsea soccer player in September 2010 amid allegations he had cheated on her, before briefly reuniting last summer – lets rip on a song from her forthcoming album entitled ‘Screw You‘, claiming he “never gave a f**k” about their marriage. Cheryl sings: “Can’t believe all the s**t I did for you, was so caught up in the love I felt for ya. I was never enough, I never got your love. I loved you so much but you never gave a f**k so screw you. I can still remember our first date, never thought I would scream I hate ya.”
However, the brunette beauty doesn’t directly reference Ashley in the track, which will be released as part of her third solo album this summer.
Cheryl’s pal Black Eyed Peas singer Fergie has previously claimed the singer had “no choice” but to divorce Ashley due to pressure from her friends, family and management team. The singer said, “Ashley really hurt her and I couldn’t see her at the time ever taking him back. But she needs to follow her own heart. It’s easy for people to say she’s crazy taking him back, but life isn’t as simple as that. If the love is still there and she truly believes he’s changed then she should go for it if that’s what she wants. It doesn’t matter what family, friends or her management team say, it’s her life and her decision. She really loved him and didn’t want to get divorced, she just felt she had no choice.”
