‘Tis the season for a movie revamp’ and it has been announced that the next classic franchise to get a ‘touch up’ are those hero’s in a half shell, The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michaelangelo are set to face the touch of super action movie producer/director Michael Bay with plans for a December 2013 release already lined up.
The ‘Transformers’ talilsman has revealed that there may be some changes to the original story when we finally get to see the turtles hit the big screen, n a recent interview Bay said, “When you see this movie, kids are going to believe, one day, that these turtles actually do exist when we are done with this movie. These turtles are from an alien race and they are going to be tough, edgy, funny and completely lovable.”
The original story , which was created as a comic in 1984 and continued to be a massive hit throughout the 90′s, saw the Shredder busting crime fighters mutate from cute little turtles into dangerous ninja’s after being exposed to toxic waste.
‘Wrath of The Titans’ director John Liebesman is set to take the reigns on the flickĀ Paramount Pictures behind the revamp.
Let us know if this this one your looking forward to? As long as Vanilla Ice gets asked back to provide the theme tune then this going to be big!
