Hollywood heartthrob actor Johnny Depp has confirmed that he has split from his partner of 14 years, French singer Vanessa Paradis.

The couple have allegedly parted ways amicably with insiders claiming they have just ‘drifted apart’ since they moved from the peaceful South of France to the glitzy pap filled LA.

The BizzNiz reported earlier on in the year that the pair were allegedly having relationship issues and rumours started to spread that their long term union  was facing crisis and Johnny’s alleged ‘close relationship’ with ‘The Rum Diary’s’ star Amber Rose only fuelled those rumours. The ‘Pirates of The Caribbean’ star spoke out about the rumours at the time saying, “The rumours are not true. They are absolutely not true. No matter what I say, people believe the opposite. I can’t say enough about it not being over.”

A close friend of both of the stars said, “It’s so sad. Johnny and Vanessa gambled that they could move to California and be on long stays on film locations for his career. They bet that things would continue there as they had in the south of France. They lost that bet. She went seven years between albums and films, while he became Captain Jack Sparrow in the Pirates films.”
