Nearly eight years in the making, its exciting times ahead for gamers all over the world with the launch of the xbox ‘One’.

Yes, the ‘One’ not the 720, Durango, Xbox or infact any of the countless other names which were bounded about before the official release. Microsoft have finally announced that its latest console will ship worldwide by the end of the year, and thank f#%K it’s got a Blu-Ray Player.

Microsoft IEB chief of staff, Aaron Greenberg, has revealed to Major Nelson during a podcast (via VideoGamer) that the next Xbox reveal will come in two parts, May 21st and the following at E3.

The Xbox One revealed:

The new Xbox is roughly 10 per cent smaller than its predecessor, and is designed to lie flat rather than upright.

The casing is a combination of glossy and matt black plastic,

The ‘One’ is also much quieter than the Xbox 360 when running. There will also be 15 exclusive games by Microsoft in the console’s first year, eight of which will be brand new franchises. Although, It does not look like it will be backwards compatible after the top man of everything at Xbox headquarters, Don Mattrick, revealed: “If your backwards compatible,You’re really backwards”

Whats under the hood?

The Xbox One will be incredibly more powerful than its predissesor the Xbox 360. The next gen console will include 5 billion transistors, along with 8GB RAM powering what the company calls the ‘Xbox One Architecture’.

It will also include a 8 core CPU with a 64-bit architecture.

There will also be a Blu-ray drive and compatibility with USB 3.0. Included will also be three 802.11N Wi-Fi radios, Ethernet, HDMI in and out and a 500GB hard drive as standard.

Microsoft also claims that the three separate 802.11n radios are included to allow the console to communicate with its controller with a form of direct WiFi, as well as other devices, such as phones or tablets, without losing its connection to the internet.

‘The Voice’ will return next year for a third series.

The TV singing competition will be back in 2014 with the BBC said to be prepared to spend £22 million on the show.

Its latest series has seen a consistent viewership of over seven million and it could be enough to save the programme after a worrying first run, an inside told UK tabloid The Sun: “The Beeb feels it’s a great show and you need to pay the big bucks for programmes like that.”

The news is expected to be confirmed in the next few weeks, although it is not yet known whether the current judges – Sir Tom Jones, Jessie J, Danny O’Donoghue and will.i.am – will return.

Although the BBC are ready to pay big money for a third series, the ‘Scream and Shout‘ hitmaker has been charitable in the past by donating his payment to charity.
It was revealed earlier this month will.i.am gave his money from the first series to the Prince’s Trust Enterprise Programme, he previously said: “‘The Voice’ is the BBC, it’s the people’s money, so it didn’t feel right.”

This rock fuelled joint was featured a few weeks back on TBN and now we can excitedly reveal the brand new video.

Taken from the bands upcoming album, ‘Plectrum Electrum‘ – which features Prince throughout from production to performance, is scheduled to be released later this year.

Prince and ‘his women’ are currently hitting small, intimate venue’s across the US, showcasing new material as well as the Funk legends classics. There are rumours they will be venturing over to the UK at sometime in the year but we still await confirmation!

The orginal film saw Tony Stark, a wealthy industrialist, forced into developing an armored suit after a life-threatening incident. Stark ultimately decides to use its technology to fight against evil, Iron Man was born!

We have already seen Tony defeat Obadiah Stane (Jeff bridges) and Ivan Vanko (Mickey Rouke) in the first two movies along with Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and his army in Avengers Assemble. In the third installment of the successful franchise Aldrich Killian (Guy Pearce) and The Mandarin (Ben Kingsley) offer a whole new threat, not just to Tony Stark, but to everything he loves and holds so dearly around him!

This is definitely ‘not’ the best of the 3 movies, but is still full of enough action to rival the first two and that of the Avengers Assemble. Its got plenty of Downey Jr Charm, and some good one liners to keep the movie flowing at a good pace. There are also some great performances from the other major players in the movie, Guy Pearce, Ben Kingsley, Gwyneth Paltrow, Don Cheale and Jon Favreau.

I did find the movie a bit confusing and it left me asking many questions….Is this the last time we will see Robert Downey Jr as the Iron Man or indeed is this the last time we will see the Iron Man at all?

We see Tony Stark slowly being broken down by Aldrich Killian and The Mandarin, questioning whether being the Iron Man is what the mega rich former playboy wants anymore? Is it worth risking everything he loves? Very nice to see Pepper Potts (Gwyeth Paltrow) getting in on the action, actually having to wear the suit herself to help Tony survive. There’s a great twist and some very good comedic moments with Ben Kingsley’s Mandarin Character, which I will let you discover for yourself. Guy Pearce also puts in a great performance as the flame mouthed self re-generating super villan Aldrich Killian.

Before I went to see the movie, I was told, like in many of the Marvel movies, there’s a post credit piece that I was advised to stay behind and watch. As I watched the movie I thought this would answer all my questioned that remained unanswered throughout the film, but no, it just added to the confusion and posed even more?

Overall a very good film with lots of action and great performances all round. The very confusing story line was obviously a deliberate Marvel move leaving lots of unanswered questions which will undoubtedly lead us nicely into The Avengers 2 and, hopefully,  Iron Man 4. Oh and there’s a great closing comic book style montage sequence from all 3 films!

Verdict: 3/5 Popcorns.

The ‘X Factor’ musical will be called ‘I Can’t Sing!’.

The stage show – which has been written by Harry Hill with music by Steve Brown – will open at the London Palladium on March 26, 2014, and the comedian is delighted ‘X Factor’ boss Simon Cowell is backing the production “4,500 per cent”.

Comedian and TV favourite Harry said: “We’d been umm-ing and ahh-ing about the title for a while, then it hit us — there’s never been a musical called ‘I Can’t Sing!’ It also happens to be the title of one of the funniest songs in the show, and we hope hints at the direction we’re taking this production. We think it’s also the only musical for a while with a singing hunchback, a talking dog and a man on an iron lung, but we’d have to Google that to be sure. We’re pretty certain that you won’t have seen anything like it before and it’s great that Simon is backing it 4,500 per cent.”

Casting for the production is currently underway and director Sean Foley has revealed the musical will feature untapped talent rather than a host of big-name actors. Sean added to the London Evening Standard newspaper: “It would be crazy to use a cast of huge big stars. That would undermine the whole idea of the show. We’re looking to find stars. It’s a musical about a musical and it’s very, very funny. What we’re all aiming for, and Harry said this is to try and put on the best night’s entertainment that anyone’s ever done, even if we have to die in the process. I think it will surprise people, how old-time theatrical it is. It does have the feel of a classic night at the Palladium.”

The production will feature 19 new songs and take an “affectionate poke” at the talent show. There is a judge called Geordie, who spends most of her time sobbing into a Chelsea football shirt, a reference to former panellist Cheryl Cole – who is from Newcastle and was previously married to Chelsea player Ashley Cole – and there are also caricatures of Simon, and current judge Louis Walsh.

Denise Van Outen is set to join ‘EastEnders’.

The 38-year-old star – who has three-year-old daughter Betsy with husband Lee Mead – has reportedly been in a string of secret meetings with soap bosses, who believe she can save the flagging ratings on the show.

An Albert Square insider told UK tabloid The Daily Mirror: “It could be a brilliant casting move. She would be a perfect addition to the team with her stunning looks and hugely impressive acting credentials.”

Though no specific details on the role she’d play have been released, it is thought programme chiefs see her as a “new, young and fresh” Peggy Mitchell, the former Queen Vic landlady and Walford matriarch who was played by Barbara Windsor.

Denise – who has been asked to appear on the soap twice before – has previously admitted she would love to join the BBC show, she has said: “I love ‘EastEnders’ and I know quite a few people in the cast. I went to school with Nicola Stapleton (Mandy) and Samantha Womack (Ronnie). And Chris Parker, who used to play Spencer, is one of my best mates.”

Following the same setup as hit E4 show Made In Chelsea, the show will be based on the lives of 20 somethings living in the tough South London area.

The show is yet to be picked up a broadcaster and is currently researching it’s stars who will be the focus of the show. However, insiders are hoping to be filming by the Summer. A source working inside the project said; “Brixton has long been associated with gangs and gun crime. Any show based in the area will be a million miles away from the spoilt lives featured in Towie and MIC. You can’t imagine Spencer Matthews or Ollie Locke having a pint in a backstreet boozer off Brixton High Street. And while the Towie cast like to think they’re streetwise, you probably wouldn’t see them out in south London after dark. Up to now, reality shows have been popular because they give people a glimpse of how the other half live. Maybe it’s time to see what life is like on the other side of the tracks.”

Although, if I’m honest, I am starting to become sick of the obsession with ‘real-life’ reality tv programmes, this may be a fresh idea, moving away from the irritatingly stuck up cast of Made In Chelsea and the blindingly Orange lot from Towie. I’ll guess we will have to wait and see….

EastEnders’ Lauren Branning will be arrested in the Queen Vic.

The troubled alcoholic – who is played by Jacqueline Jossa – will get into trouble for punching Lucy Beale (Hetti Bywater) in the face after she makes several digs at her former best friend, who she fell out with after the brunette stole her boyfriend, Lauren’s cousin Joey Branning (David Witts).

An Eastenders revealed to UK tabloid the Daily Star newspaper: “Lauren is in serious trouble this time. It’s not just the booze that’s a problem now, she could well end up with a criminal record.”

After hitting Lucy, Lauren continues to take her frustrations out by throwing a jar of sugar through the window of the local café. Despite her rage, Lauren thinks she has escaped any punishment but Lucy rings the police and gets her arrested for assault.

The drama comes after Lauren tried to get back with her cousin Joey by going in for a sneaky smooch when she is drunk. However, Joey rejects her advances and she heads to the allotment to drown her sorrows.

Jennifer Lopez is to guest perform on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.

The 43-year-old star is set to grace the stage during the ITV show’s semi finals – which kick off next week – with a performance of her latest track ‘Live It Up‘ as part of her UK comeback, and fellow American Demi Lovato will sing her new single ‘Heart Attack‘ on the programme.

Other guest performers will include singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding, who will perform her recent releases ‘Explosions‘ and ‘Anything Can Happen‘, and Olly Murs will sing ‘Right Here Right Now’.

Last year’s winners Ashley and dancing dog Pudsey will also make an appearance with an unmissable performance, and more guest performers will be revealed at a later date.

The live semi-finals start on Monday May 27 from 7:30pm-9pm and each night will see nine of the final 45 acts perform live in the hope of winning the public vote.
The guest performances will take place during the results show, as the votes are counted and the ‘BGT’ acts wait to discover which of them will make it through to the final.
The act with the highest number of public votes will automatically go through to the live grand final and the two runners-up will then face the judges who will pick their favourite to accompany them.
The live final will take place on June 8 when it will be revealed which act has won the £250,000 prize and a spot at this year’s Royal Variety Performance.
Britain’s Got Talent’s live semi-finals are on Monday 27th, Tuesday 28th, Thursday 30th, Friday May 31st and Saturday June 1st on ITV.

Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian are wanted for the next series of ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!’.

The US reality TV stars could land the ITV jungle endurance show’s highest-ever fees if they agree to take part in this year’s contest – though programme chiefs are said to only want the sisters as they are a more realistic target than their more famous sibling Kim Kardashian.

A source told UK tabloid the Daily Star: “‘I’m A Celebrity…’ could be set to offer their biggest ever fee to secure the girls. In an ideal world they’d love to get Kim in the Aussie jungle but they know that would never happen. So they think her sisters are the next best thing and would bring lots of drama and publicity to the show.”

Though no names have yet been confirmed for the next series of the programme, a number of stars have expressed an interest in taking part. JLS singer Marvin Humes admitted he is a fan of the show and would consider entering the camp when the group split later this year.
When asked about his future plans, he said: “I might do ‘I’m a Celebrity…’. I like the show.”

Troubled former soccer star Paul Gascoigne has been approached for the show several times and is finally ready to say yes following another stint in rehab to treat his alcoholism he said recently: “They asked a while back, but I wasn’t right and said no When sober, I’m up for anything, but when drinking, I don’t want to do anything. I won’t say what they offered, as other celebrities would complain they weren’t given as much. But it was a lot. I’ve no problem eating insects, and now I’d be there like a shot.”
