Grammy Award Winning Travie McCoy has teamed up with the duo Speakers, on new track ‘Runnin’ It’ , available exclusively through MySpace right now and is also ready for download via Soundcloud.

The collaboration is the product of two unique and popular styles that fused naturally and the result is a track layered with deep griping beats, vibrating bass and intercutting kick drums.

Speakers say they were thrilled to be working alongside one of their long-time role models and the enthusiasim feelings are manifest in the sound they’ve created together. “When we were in the studio it was just genuine fun!” Taylor says. “We knew that no matter what we did with Travie it would be genius, and it was.” adds Keon.

Bold and insistently experimental, the sound of speakers spans the worlds of rhythmic pop, urban, and electronic music — the result of the restless imagination of its creators: singer, rapper, and lyricist Keon B and musician-producer Blair Taylor.

The duo began working together last fall and decided to label their collaboration speakers because “you can’t hear the music without speakers,” explains Keon. Adds Blair: “And you need two, a left and a right. We are not one without the other.”

The duo, both age 21, are currently working on their debut album, which will be released by Virgin Records, in conjunction with independent label Newco (where they were first discovered by Troy Carter and Matt Michelsen), in early 2011.
