Barlow, 41, spent the last year organising the event as well as joining forces with Theatre maestro Andrew Lloyd Webber to pen the theme track, ‘Sing’. The star managed to pull together superstar artists like Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones and Shirley Bassey in order to provide The Queen with a memorable occasion.
Gary has certainly made an impression on the Head of the Royal household with news emerging today that she plans give him a coverted OBE, a Royal spokesperson said, “The Queen was delighted with Gary Barlow’s brilliant work and dedication. She made it clear he should be rewarded at the first available opportunity. Mr Barlow was told of Her Majesty’s offer a few weeks ago. He was quite surprised, but he has accepted it.”
The OBE is also a signature of gratitude towards Gary’s contribution to Music.
Well done Gazza!
