Katie Price walked out of ‘The Hunger Games’ UK premiere when she was made to hand her phone in.

The 33-year-old model – who has disabled son Harvey, nine, in addition to children Junior, six and Princess Tiaamii, four – arrived at the event at London’s O2 Arena  tonight (14.03.12) with some friends but walked out after she was asked to give her mobile phone in to security before seeing the film, claiming she has to be able to be contacted in an emergency.

In a series of posts on twitter, she wrote: “What an absolute joke! How many parents of children/disabled children know the importance of being able to be contacted if something happens in an emergency??? Me and @wonderwomanshel at the hunger games prem were told to hand our mobiles in ….. we explained the importance to have our mobile phones for obvious reasons and they said no! Hunger Games?? No thanks!! We have all gone for something to eat instead @wonderwomanshell @elliejenas @jjenas8 @leandro__penna(sic)”

Former Liberty X singer Michelle Heaton, who was attending the premiere with Katie – also known as Jordan – added she had to leave for the sake of her nine week old baby, she wrote: “@MissKatiePrice @elliejenas @jjenas8 @leandro__penna what a shame we had to leave #hungergames prem. as a mum of an 9wk old and Katie a mum of Harvey, we couldn’t possibly hand our mobile phones in, in case of emergencies! X x(sic)”
