Girls Aloud member Kimberley Walsh has teamed up with operatic sensation Alfie Boe to record the official track for Team GB at the upcoming 2012 Olympics.

Walsh, who has recently been appearing as Princess Fiona in the stage adaptation of Shrek, is said to have already recorded a cover of rock band Queen’s classic ‘One Vision’ with tenor Boe and spoke of her excitement in a recent interview with UK tabloid The Sun saying, “”It feels like a real honour to be representing Great Britain with this song and to be part of the whole Olympics madness. It’s really special. Bring on the gold medals.”

Kimberley, who will soon be joining the rest of the Girls Aloud crew on a reunion tour, is set to debut the track alongside Boe at the Royal Albert Hall on May 11th.
