Multi million selling former X Factor winner Leona Lewis is set to return to the show as a guest judge.

The star scooped the shows title on the third series in 2006 and has since gone on to sell over ten million records. A source close to Leona confirmed the news saying, “Leona isn’t exactly the harshest critic in the world but she has experience of singing – and being on the X Factor.”

The struggling reality talent show is yet to find a permanent replacement for the departed Kelly Rowland is working round the problem by having ‘guest’ judges throughout the audition process with Leona joining other stars including Geri Halliwel and Rita Ora. Show bosses have also had to ask former X Factor USA judge Nicole Scherzinger to step at one of the auditions after proposed judge Robbie Williams pulled out.
