One Direction band member Niall Horan shared an interesting pic of himself recently displaying his new purple locks!

The Irish ladies favourite shared the snap with his followers on Twitter appearing to have ditched his blonde barnet, although it is now clear that Niall was simply re-dyeing his hair.

The singer has spent some time off from the bands hectic work schedule sunning himself in Marbella and the scorching heat has obviously tampered with his usual groomed style and forced the teen heart throb to reach for the dye pot!

One Direction are now hard back at work finalising details for the second album.
