It has been confirmed today that TV network CW has agreed to produce a prequel to the highly successful ‘Sex and The City’ franchise.

The new series of episode’s will be called ‘The Carrie Diaries’ and is set to be based on main character Carrie Bradshaw’s early life as a small town girl.

Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage, who have worked on a number of hit shows including Gossip Girl,  are rumoured to have signed up to work on the project with no reports, as yet, with who could be lined up to appear in the show.
