Sinead O’Connor Asks For Help After Suicide Attempt

sinead o'connerIrish singer/songwriter Sinead O’Connor is desperately seeking the help of a psychiatrist after she attempted suicide.

The ‘Nothing Compares To You’ singer has confessed that she took an overdose last Thursday while in LA and is now in need of some professional help to stop her spiralling out of control. The 45 year old said, “I took an overdose, God obviously wants me around — though I can’t think why.” The shaven headed songstress has taken to social networking site Twitter in order to get herself the right help, she tweeted, ”Does anyone know a psychiatrist in Dublin or Wicklow? I’m really unwell — and in danger.”

The star has had a rough month after getting hitched to lover Barry Herridge only to have split 16 days later.
