According to reports circulating within the music and media circles today the much talked about Amy Winehouse tribute concert is definitely on the cards for the Summer 2012.
Mitch Winehouse, the Father of the singer who sadly passed away last year, has been busy putting the final touches to the event which will help raise both funds and awareness for the ‘Amy Winehouse Foundation’. Mr Winehouse is in deep discussions with TV bosses to get the event televised and is even talking about making the event pay-per-view in order to generate as much revenue as possible.
An source from inside the camp said, “Claims that ITV have done a deal for the gig are premature. All options are open at the moment but one idea is to make fans pay a few quid to watch the concert. Big artists will be booked from both sides of the Atlantic so people will want to see it. It will be a huge event.”
There’s no doubt that stars from all area’s of the music industry will want to come along and pay their respects to the ‘Back To Black’ singer as it promises to be a memorable moment for live music.
