Current flick, ‘The Dictator’ , from Brit funny man Sacha Baron Cohen has been banned in yet more countries. The star plays Admiral General Aladeen the supreme leader from the Wadiya Republic who creates havoc when he travels to the US.
The film has caused controversy across the Globe with many fearing that it could anger some of the Worlds remaining tyrants. A film spokesman said, “It’s mad. The list of countries where it has been blocked from cinemas has grown since it was released. It’s now banned in Belarus, Pakistan, Malaysia, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan. The world’s had a humour bypass.”
Sacha has also caused controversy during the promotional campaign for the movie attending the premier in Jerusalem dressed as the Evil dictator, the Ali G and Borat creator said, “A bunch of Hasidic Jews ran after me with rocks and my getaway car drove away, so I found myself running for my life and ended up hiding in a bathroom store.”
