Channel 4 have confirmed that they plan to produce a follow up to the 80′s children’s Christmas favourite ‘The Snowman’.
The original Raymond Briggs, Oscar nominated, feature was first screened in 1982 and has lived on through the years with showings on various channels during the festive seasons.
Now, bosses at Channel 4 HQ have said that ‘The Snowman 2′ will be a “brand new adventure with a new set of friends”. The Channels Chief Creative Officer Jay Hunt made the official announcement today saying “The Snowman is an entrancing animation that has stood the test of time. I’m thrilled that Raymond will be giving us this sequel which I’m sure will be as delightful and unforgettable as the original.”
‘The Snowman 2′ is scheduled to be screened during Christmas 2012.
