Former chart topper turned Hollywood actor Justin Timberlake is allegedly in talks with Paramount Pictures about appearing in the scheduled big screen version of hit show Baywatch.

Paramount bosses are allegedly keen for Timberlake to take on the role of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who looks to join the Baywatch team.

A team of writers have already started putting together a script for the film and they have allegedly included roles for original Baywatch cast members David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson who appeared in the show when it began all the way back in 1989. The hit show, which ran on US TV network NBC, followed a team of life guards who patrol the beaches of Los Angeles, California and ran for an amazing 12 years before being ditched in 2001.
