With the Diamond Jubilee celebrations almost upon the UK, The BizzNiz thought this weeks Vintage Vinyl should in some way pay tribute to the Queens amazing 60 years on the throne. What better way to do that then with a classic British Rock track from iconic and legendary Rock band Queen.
Fronted by the late Freddie Mercury, Queen formed in 1971 and had an amazing 18 number one albums, 18 number one hit singles and 10 number one live dvd’s which catapulted them into Rock history making them one of the most successful bands of our time. With estimated sales reported to be in the region of £300 million Queen are also one of the best selling bands of all time.
‘Don’t Stop Me Now’ was released an amazing 33 years ago in 1979 and featured on the bands 1978 album ‘Jazz’. Although the track is now considered to be a bit of a party anthem, compared to other Queen singles, the track didn’t fair too well in the charts only reaching no.10 in the UK and a disappointing no.86 in the US.
In honour of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations The BizzNiz would like to send this track directly to the Queen, 60 years? There’s planty more where that came from, Don’t stop her now!
