Darren privately worries about the pub’s future, but is given more pressing matters to consider when Nancy makes an unexpected announcement. Meanwhile, Mercedes puts her feminine charms to use trying to convince Riley to give her a second chance, and Ruby’s day goes from bad to worse when Jono refuses to apologise.

George is elated when Phoebe turns up at the Kanes’, but their reunion proves less than happy when she ends up leading him straight back to Deena. Riley refuses to change his mind about selling the pub, and agrees to let Myra see baby Bobby on the condition that she keeps the visit a secret from Mercedes. Meanwhile, Maddie is furious when she learns Callum spent a night with Ruby.

Callum grows increasingly worried about George’s disappearance, and tells Maddie the truth about his missing friend’s living arrangements. Mitzeee and Riley try to take advantage of Mercedes’ family troubles by persuading the McQueens to side with them in the battle for baby Bobby, and Darren reluctantly tells Nancy and Jack about the plans to sell the pub.

The sixth-form students struggle to digest the news that George is homeless, and when their search for him proves fruitless, Maddie decides to take drastic action. Meanwhile, Annalise is left with food for thought after a confrontation with Scott, Brendan continues to transform Joel into his protege, and Leanne is given a trial shift at the club.

Tensions arise among the sixth-formers as they wait for news of George, and as his disappearance pushes one couple apart, it brings another back together. Meanwhile, Joel is rebuffed by Ash, Leanne’s trial at the club fails to go according to plan, and Annalise’s romantic evening with Rob ends in heartbreak as she struggles to ignore her feelings for Scott.
