Later, Ben and Phil are shocked to see the state that Ian is in, but when Phil questions Ian on whether he has spilled the beans to anyone about Heather’s death, Ian stares on in silence. On Tuesday, Jay is clearly uncomfortable with Shirley and Ian living under the same roof, knowing that the truth will soon be out. Later, Ben takes Ian to the cafe to see Lucy. She however is unimpressed at the sight of him and shouts at him in front of shocked customers, also telling Christian that she no longer cares for her Father. Phil reminds Ben that they are only in the clear for as long as Ian’s memory is poor, the young Mitchell has to decide what is more important- helping his brother, or keeping out of jail.
Meanwhile, Ray arranges to meet up with someone, just as Kat is on the phone to her mystery lover arranging a
rendezvous. Could Ray be the man in question? Kim is later left humiliated when she discovers that the flat he has details for is actually for Sasha and her mother.
After pushing Michael away, Jean reassures Janine that everything will be fine now that Scarlett is home, and one of the suspects for Kat’s mystery man is eluminated.
In the last episode this week, it’s the day of Walford’s baby competition, and rivalry is aplenty between Syed, Roxy, Lola and Masood.
It’s also the day of Shirley’s abseil down the side of The Vic, but where is she? Phil manages to track her down, she’s been hiding in a car in the Arches! Later, when the abseil kit hasn’t arrived, Phil urges Shirley to conquer her fear of heights by getting on The Vic’s roof anyway. Shirley agrees on the condition that Phil joins her, and an emotional moment follows for the pair as he stands by her every step of the way, with a crowd watching on below. Realising how much she loves Phil, Shirley asks him to marry her…Will he accept?
Also on the square, Ian disappears too, and it’s Ben’s job to find him. also, who will win the cooking competition?
